Damn. I'm excited for the Summer Olympics. There's always something to watch on TV with the games going on. During the '96 Summer Olympics, I would fall asleep watching volleyball or some lame event that was happening. I also remember when that pipe bomb went off. They kept on replaying the same footage over and over of the hurt people.
Well, I'll be cheering for Japan, because I love Japan, and I guess the USA. I wanna see the tae kwon do event, because I have never actually gotten to see it happen live. I watched clips on YouTube and I noticed that they all suck at blocking! WTF! I think judo might be exciting to watch. It'll be easier to catch the events you wanna see this time, because Microsoft and NBC will be streaming them all live online.
Oh, and I saw Wall-E, and EVE's voice is sooo cute!

2008 Academy Awards
The movies nominated for best motion picture of the year are: Atonement, Juno, Michael Clayton, No Country for Old Men, and There Will Be Blood. I've seen all of them through except There Will Be Blood, and here's what I have to say:
Atonement: Boring.
Juno: Good movie, but hell no for best motion picture of the year.
Michael Clayton: I enjoyed this one, but I don't think it'll win.
No Country for Old Men: This is my pick for best motion picture of the year.
There Will Be Blood: Only seen the first 45 minutes of it, and it didn't really capture me.
Sunshine is another film I really liked. The music was so great in it. Really added a great atmosphere to the film. Wish they would release the soundtrack to it, but there's some kind of conflict keeping it from coming out. John Murphy is the composer of the score and I really dug his other works on the 28 days and weeks movies.
OK, enjoy the oscars! See ya.

My old site
I bought my old domain name again, souks.ws. This time I registered through godaddy. My last registrar overpriced so much, it's should be crime. I don't even know what I'm going to do with it. Maybe just host my pictures. I thought about hosting my own blog there, but I'm too used to these other services, and I really like the community of livejournal.

My new year's resolution is...
To blog more. And draw more. I'll post it here.
The main point of this blog is to post my drawings and hopefully see improvement as time passes and as my posts add up. Receiving some feedback would also be nice, so don't be afraid to tell me I suck, but also tell me how I can improve.
